sǣp is driven by vines, place and earth.

Vines, with feet anchored in the rocks and soil, canes extending, reaching toward the sky, adapting to a place, it’s seasons and cycles.

Sap, in spring a vigorous outward force, exploring, driving new growth and in autumn a slow and gentle reclaiming of spent resources to store up in trunks and roots for the winter and beyond. Each season the vine’s fruit reflects the light and shade, dust and rain, past and future. We are fascinated by the unique ability of grapes to carry the indelible mark of their time and place, never repeated.
